THE EXPERIENCE

  • THE STAY:

JTH Tucson — a beautiful B&B sanctuary in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, is yours to enjoy completely undisturbed.

This environmentally-conscious, historic property showcases enduring design and spatial qualities that speak to the intentionality of built spaces with respect to nature.

Movement, Education, Restoration and Nourishment — all pillars supported by the physical location and staff. Our Experiential Director will be there, every step of the way, to help curate a seamless day-to-day. Our on-site Concierge will be there to assist in your every need — require towel service, a room refresh or maybe just more heat in sauna, we’ve got you covered. All so that you can enjoy your stay, stress-free.

Saguaro National Park protects vast stands of iconic Saguaro cacti and diverse desert ecosystems that span from low desert to higher-elevation woodlands. JTH being uniquely located adjacent to the national park, gives you exclusive access to all 38-acres of land distraction free.

How often do you get the opportunity to fully drop-in without the distraction of everyday life?

  • THE PRACTICE:

Each day begins with a foundational movement practice. There will be multiple opportunities to move in various ways throughout each day.

Mvmt will be guided by either Chandler and/or Élan. Exposure to multiple modalities means more opportunity to develop mind-body awareness and confidence in oneself. We will give you the tools to hold your own in any group fitness setting moving forward. Styles of exercise include pilates, yoga, HIIT, resistance (strength-training), and/or cardio-based training.

    Workshops:

“Breath & Mvmt Mechanics: Diaphragmatic Breathing for Everyday Life” – a training focused on the practical application and benefits of deep belly breathing.

“Creative Well-Being: The Connection between Fitness and Art” – A group discussion exploring the symbiotic relationship between seemingly different genres of expression.

When’s the last time you broke a mental ‍AND ‍physical sweat?

  • THE ADVENTURE:

This is your chance to explore Tucson’s unique architecture. Design that reflects Spanish Colonial and Mexican influences where mid-century desert modernism honors ancient wisdom.

Take a trip among the stars! In 2023, the International Dark Sky Association certified Saguaro National Park as an Urban Night Sky Place — only the ninth in the world and the second in the National Park system.

Partake in an epic culinary tour through downtown Tucson. One of two cities officially UNESCO-certified as a city of gastronomy. In other words, foodie’s paradise!

Tucson’s food culture uniquely blends Indigenous, Spanish, Mexican and American influences with heritage ingredients and dishes that reflect centuries of cultural exchange.

At the end of your Downtown Tucson food tour, you'll have sampled some of the city’s most delicious dishes and gained a better understanding of its rich culture and history.

What are you most excited to taste?

  • THE CUISINE:

All onsite meals will be prepared by your Private Chefs Miles Bartlett & Sofia Robledo Rower.

With over 3 decades of combined food & beverage experience in major metropolitan areas, your private chefs have prepared an empowering spread to energize your weekend.

Expect a diverse menu inspired by the region using local ingredients specific to the culture. Everything from fresh Grain Bowls and Mediterranean spreads to Chilaquiles and Roast Chicken. (Explore our sample menu below).

Multiple meals a day plus snacks and hydration are included with your package.

Are you ready to toast to growth?

  • Co-Founder/Mvmt Facilitator

While Élan’s (pronounced A-lawn) roots lie deep within artistry, his appreciation for athletics stems from his fusion of fitness and art. Growing up he found purpose in everything from illustration and music to martial arts and cross country. Unknowingly, each pursuit has always enhanced his practice of another. After graduating with a BA in Architecture from Berkeley he began a short lived career in the industry. Soon after, the need for wellness lifestyle changes became apparent. "From building buildings to building bodies," a client once said. Longevity became a major pillar long before the buzz word gained significant influence online. Turns out, longevity had always been an intuitive part of him.

Today, he's an artist excelling as a fitness professional with multiple years experience. He describes his style of coaching as firm yet positive and entertaining, using athletic conditioning principles to develop well-rounded human beings.

  • Experiential Director

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tavaris Smith brings more than a decade of customer service and hospitality experience to his role as Assistant General Manager at Camp Los Angeles in Santa Monica. Known for his leadership, warmth, and commitment to creating exceptional member experiences, Tavaris plays a key part in cultivating the energizing, community-driven environment that defines Camp.

In addition to his work in fitness and hospitality, Tavaris is the producer of The Next Show, a pop-up comedy series that has successfully hosted events in 11 cities nationwide. His ability to build community—whether in a fitness studio or a comedy venue—speaks to his talent for bringing people together through shared experiences.

A believer in balance, fun, and finding new passions, Tavaris recently retired from pick-up basketball and now spends his free time exploring the world of pick-up golf. And if there’s ever a box of DOTS candy nearby, you can bet it won’t last long.

THE CHEFS

For the last 20 years Chef Miles Bartlett has been honing his culinary skills in NYC and the Southwest. Primarily trained in NYC, he worked in everything from Bistros and Brasseries to Fine Dining and Catering. He cooked for everyone from world leaders to professional artists and athletes. Miles has worked alongside other notable chefs including Wylie Dufresne, Mark Ladner, Owen Clark and Josh Eden. In 2023, Miles returned home to Tucson where he and business partner Sofia founded Flora Luna Foods.

Chef Sofia Robledo Rower has been community cooking for over a decade. Raised in a household of culinary creatives, Sofia began her professional cooking career during the pandemic in LA. She eventually made her way to Tucson where she worked at the James Beard Award Nominated Tito & Pep. This restaurant would go on to receive a spot on the New York Times 50 Best Restaurants in the USA. She is particularly passionate about cooking in consideration with the seasons, bringing the best moments to plate.

In 2023, Sofia met Miles while dining at his restaurant, 5 Points. Having lived in Tucson less than a year, Sofia was craving the culinary arts and atmosphere of the larger cities they had both lived in. Blown away by the elegance of the dish Miles had served her, Sofia asked Miles for a job. The two hit it off and have been working together ever since.

The two are currently growing their new business Flora Luna Foods – a regional cooking program that offers food education and catering services as well as fresh, restaurant quality culinary preparations for home cooks in the Tucson area. They look forward to nourishing you!
